The new matienance Jesse is amazing and Chris is awesome as well very very polite and professional and completely a huge turn around from when I first moved in. Aspenwood has done very well changing that department around. Jesse the new manager for maintenance told me he would come back to fix my concern with my water and sewer and actually kept his word about it came and fixed it all in one day and was fast about it Chris and Jesse had clear communication and was able to get through my request very smoothly quickly and comfortably. Felt super comfortable having them come in my home and in and out to get a couple things as they needed and not felt like I was being tattled on for non related things or just have someone come pretend to work he actually showed me and told me every little thing that was wrong and what he was doing to fix it and how he was fixing it. He also noticed some things going on with my loose front door that I would have never even thought to complain about and he took the time to make sure he fixed it before he left because he noticed it! I felt like he actually took care of my home like he cared about the conditions I was living in and that’s the first time since moving in in August that I felt like someone here cared about the conditions I was living in. Thank you Jesse and Chris for making this place a lot better to live in and the atmosphere in general of living here feels safer in general knowing you guys are here for me and my safety and care about what I need!!! Even if I don’t say anything you will notice and fix it. That made my whole day! Thank you

So I went to get A bag underneath my kitchen sink and it was wet. I looked at the clock and it was almost 5 o’clock called the office and told them I had a leak under my sink. Said she would send maintenance over to take a look at it. I really thought with it being 5 o’clock that they wouldn’t be here or I would have to wait till tomorrow, but within 10 minutes, they were here knocking on my door. They fixed it and only took a few minutes, but I appreciate them taking the time and coming right over these guys are on top of any issues that you might have. Thank you Very Much!!!!

For the most part it's been pretty nice living here. But the pool has been a joke for the 3 years living here, the first year I was here it was open when they felt like it, last year it wasn't open & this year it's been closed except for 2 days but "they are always working on it." Just feels like the first year all over again. Otherwise the office staff are pretty nice and it's really nice especially the tree areas just be careful of dog poop if you have kids or like to walk barefoot. Emma & Brandy are the office ladies and they are the bees knees and can usually help you with anything no problem & they have fun events and snacks in the office. *Reading the other reviews I need to add that I have personally NEVER seen a cockroach in my apartment in the 3 years I've lived here and only seen a couple spiders.

Not sure what happened to my original review but noticed that it was gone. Anyways my husband and I have been living here for about 3 months now and besides living next to the Anaya market and having to deal with their customer traffic coming in and out, it’s been good overall. We love our place. There were some issues with the apartment that we were originally going to move into but because Emma the leasing consultant is so awesome, she took care of those issues immediately and made us comfortable about singing a lease here. Thank you Emma for being so awesome and kind.

I had to change my rating since new management and maintenance have came here. Before it was really hard to get things fixed over here. Now I never have a problem with getting something fixed in a timely manner. The Maintenance men Chris and Jessie are friendly and efficient, they fixed my clogged drain quick, and They even cleaned up their mess afterward which was really nice of them! The office staff are so kind and always sits and addresses my concerns when i have them. It's been a great community this past year. I would recommend.

My husband and I have been living here for a little over a month now and it’s been good so far. Besides living literally right next to the Anaya market and having to deal with all their customers coming in and out of Aspenwoods parking area, everything has been great! We love our apartment. There were a few problems with the apartment when we first moved in but because the leasing consultant, Emma, is awesome!!!! She made sure that those problems were taken care of asap! She is so nice and very understandable. I’m glad that there is someone in the office that can relate to us tenants, and is also genuine about it. Thank you Emma! :)

For some reason it’s pulling my second email account, so my name isn’t showing. But my son and I have lived here since February. We love our place! I’ve heard loud music a handful of times and that’s the craziest it’s gotten. lol. Maintenance has had to come out to fix a few things, and they’ve done a great job. We love the fun things the office staff does. They’ve had raffles, have posted cute things at our door (like a small stuffed animal on National Bear day), and send out newsletters that I enjoy. These are the best apartments I've lived at so far. Scott is definitely caring and understanding, I had a problem with my neighbors teenagers waking my toddler up at all hours of the night I brought this to Scott's attention and he said he would take care of it and he did. I haven't had a problem with them since then! He's also always so happy and friendly! Malisha always goes above and beyond too! I love management at these apartments, no matter what if we have a problem it usually gets resolved very quickly!!

They are mostly remodeled inside, including new vinyl windows, slidding glass door, with a really helpful Assistant Manager (Scott Johnson) someone you should come and talk to if your wanting to lease an apartment that is in the heart of the valley and can get away on roads that talk you to your work in minutes. Has stores in every direction within a few miles. Schools, churches, libraries, parks, are all around these apartments. Come and talk to the best Assistant Manager about renting at ASPEN-WOOD APARTMENTS in West Valley City.

Place is pretty decent and quiet so far. Location is good. I love how close it is to my work place plus not to mention, it’s close to a lot of stores as well and walking distance to some food places and Beans & Brews! Melissa, Property Manager, she's great with people, understanding person, she does her job to the best of her ability in making us understand about the leasing and so forth. One of your best employee that you have. Now Scott Johnson, Assistant Manager. I sorry to say this but he is not a people person. There lots of complaints on how he been treating tents badly. He's there just to get a pay check and that's it. He's trying to take other people job away. He's more of a me person. He really needs a attitude adjustment. Malisha is one of the most informative managers. I went a couple of weeks ago and toured with another young man which I believe might have been new because he was unsure about a lot of the questions I was asking. I cam back again and Malisha was able to answer my questions that I had. She also took me on another tour which in fact she showed me all the amenities and also told me about what they have planned for sprucing up the property. When she talks about the property she takes so much pride in loving this property as her own and not like its just another job. Thank you Malisha I look forward to placing my application when another 3 bedroom comes available.

The property manager Malisha has gone above and beyond to make sure my wife and I were taken care of. They are very Professional, fun and Always here for their residents. The do fun activities for all the residents. The Pool is always clean and the Property is always kept up looking Fabulous. The Maintenance guys are always there if you Need anything Andrew, Luis and Abdu are here to assist you with everything. You guys are Truly the Best. I had been dealing with some major plumbing issues, and everyone here took care of me so promptly. After reporting the issue Thursday, I was moved out of my unit and into a BRAND NEW renovated unit by Tuesday. The wait was so so worth it. Joanna was prompt in replying to me and making sure we were taken care of. And I seriously cannot say enough about Malisha — she was amazing! Malisha went above and beyond and made herself available to me 24/7 in case anything happened. She even provided us a gift after our first night in the new unit and made sure everything was up to perfect standards. I am so so pleased that we have been renting here for almost 2 years.

Update to previous review: after experiencing a pest control concern within weeks of move in, management was very responsive in having the issue analyzed and treatments begun. It is an ongoing process, but they are doing everything necessary to ensure the issue is resolved as soon as possible.

I really like my newly renovated 2 bedroom apt. The rent here is what I previously paid for a 1 bedroom and I have more space. The lawns and gardens are nicely kept and the cleanliness of the landscaping shows me someone pays attention to outside details. The swimming pool is nice too on hot days. Thanks to the manager and staff for making my move an easy process and ensuring my apt was move in ready. The washer and dryer are a blessing. No more trips to the laundry room as I had to in my previous location. Thank you

This place is honestly amazing. First everyone is so sweet and understanding of everything ! They are the only place that was willing to rent to me with my bad credit. I did hear that there was different management awhile ago that was bad. Since there has been new maintenance guys and new ladies running the office they have done amazing considering the issues with previous management. I had a couple issues with my water in the kitchen and the second I called them they were knocking at my door to fix it !!! I would recommend this place to everyone!!!

The only complaint I have is that the washer and dryer hookups are more for show than they are functional. I can barley fit in a washer and dryer in the laundry room and the hookups and outlet are all on different walls making it extremely difficult to even be functional. Other than that I love living here.

The office staff has always worked with me when I had a hardship in regards to paying rent/utilities, quick on work orders, and really care about the people that live here. When we looked at the apartment we were told that they were "cleaning house" and getting rid of people that were not compliant with rules. They have kept their word. The staff here is friendly, maintenance gents are awesome and always polite. The grounds are kept neat and clean. This is the best complex I have lived in since moving to Utah four years ago. Thank you for keeping your word!

Best place ever to call home. I highly recommend it to everyone out there who are looking for the same thing . Everyone is caring and kind to each other and it's a very pet friendly environment for everyone. I love it the moment I came here. Izzy and DeAndre are very nice people in the office, they're kind, respectful and professional in everything they do. They know when you need help and they are there as soon as possible to the work done. There's a play ground right in the front of my apartment for my niece to play and a pool where we go swim at on hot summer days. It's just perfect, beautiful place. I don't regret a single moment living here.

When it happens a bunch of kids catch it for me. I also have a large macaw that is real loud. She yells, screaches, and she will talk to people. Very pet friendly!

I lived in these apartments for two years (Jan. 2015 - Jan. 2017). I found them to be actually pretty nice. I know, many people have left poor reviews here, but I wanted to give them an honest review. As follows is my experience here. The main manager, D'Andre I believe his name is, is one kick ass dude. Seriously, I only interacted with him ten or so times during my time living in these apartments, but the guy is super positive, always willing to help and way understanding if you can meet him halfway - even still, he's the kind of person that will go above and beyond to make sure you're happy. The rest of the management team... I don't have many good things to say about them. There were two or three other people that worked there during those two years and they were unpleasant, and lazy (Frequently the office was closed thirty minutes ahead of their posted hours, which made paying rent a pain in the ass sometimes). I didn't interact with them much, but there are better employees to be had for sure - C'mon D'Andre, you can do better than that! The apartments are way outdated, don't have a dishwasher and mold can be a problem. HOWEVER, the one I lived in was well-maintained, given it's age (my buddy's mother lived in these apartments back in her mid 20's). They are REALLY spacious, tons of cupboard room, etc. There is a laundry facility on site, but there is something like two sets of washer and dryers so obviously they are always full. My two bedroom apartment had a big storage room that doubled as a laundry room, so I was super thankful for that. The patio/decks are bigger than most other apartments too! The only incident I can think of is a neighbor (below us) filed a noise complaint against us once; we were super quiet because my brother and I worked bizarre hours and we wanted to be courteous, so it was kind of annoying that one would be filed against us. Later that day, our next door neighbor admitted fault and management was quick to rescind the complaint against us. The people below us were not liked by most of the people in the building, but there are always pissy people like them at any apartment you'll live in. The rest of the tenants were super cool. There was this one family that always sat out on their front patio, smoking a cigarette or whatever, and would just say hi and ask about your day - pretty laid back environment, despite being smack in the heart of WVC. It's a good place - especially when in regards to it's location. I would recommend them for anyone looking for a cheap place, with little expectation, who likes a 'mind your own business' kind of mindset (in my opinion, a very good thing as far as apartments go). The move in and move out process was painless and we weren't charged for any trivial things. I actually miss my time here, believe it or not!

I have lived at this property for 3 years. DeAndre and his staff are friendly, fast , helpful, and reliable when it comes to apartment repairs, moving you in, and finding places you need in the area you live in. The neighbors are the same, too. Aspenwood Apartments is a great place for you and your family and pets. If you name it, they pretty much have it for you. They have security available to handle complaints after the office closes. They take care of noise issues, suspicious activity and watch the property to prevent crimes. They take excellent care of the landscaping.

Been here 2 years now with my two little boys and I honestly love it. We're right by the pool, and they keep the pool clean, which is great because I'm kinda OCD. Every problem I ever had: got a new dishwasher, got a new disposal. Everything else in the apartment has been just fine. It's still West Valley though, but that's not their fault. I lived here for almost 2 years. It had a few problems like parents letting there kids run wild or previous renters friends come by and continue to ask for the previous renters. The management was awesome!!! They are very friendly and get stuff done. The maintenance team is AMAZING they come in and get things fixed and are in and out. Not only do they fix things, they tell you how it broke and how to keep it from breaking again. They do fun little summer activities and if you are ever late on rent they work with you as long as you let them know in advance. The only reason I moved was because a older guy and his wife(in their early 60's) where harassing me, my hunsband, and our 19 month old son. He would take pictures of us taking our dogs out, checking the mail, or just us playing with our son outside. It started when ours dogs had a little confrontation, the first time was an accident and the second time he sicked his dog on me. I have a scar on the top, and the palm of my hand. My dog got in a fight with his in defence of me and my son!!! Not only was I put in danger but so was my son!!! Animal control said they can't do anything about it because the dog is there for medical reasons. I had to get rid of my dog and he kept his. That just doesn't seem fair right? This is not the only time his dog attacked a dog and the other person had to get rid of their dog. It attacked a 8 month old PUPPY and I witnessed it. He walks around the complex thinking he owns the place. He will turn you in for anything and I mean ANYTHING! If he could he would turn you in for breathing. Him and his wife have nothing to do so they harass everyone!!!! OH AND HIS DOG IS A GERMAN SHEPHERD, IT'S SKINNY AND MAINGY LOOKING. The swimming pool is their back yard and they live on the bottom floor so keep an eye out or you and your dog WILL be attack.

I lived here for almost 2 years. It had a few problems like parents letting there kids run wild or previous renters friends come by and continue to ask for the previous renters. The management was awesome!!! They are very friendly and get stuff done. The maintenance team is AMAZING they come in and get things fixed and are in and out. Not only do they fix things, they tell you how it broke and how to keep it from breaking again. They do fun little summer activities and if you are ever late on rent they work with you as long as you let them know in advance. The only reason I moved was because a older guy and his wife(in their early 60's) where harassing me, my hunsband, and our 19 month old son. He would take pictures of us taking our dogs out, checking the mail, or just us playing with our son outside. It started when ours dogs had a little confrontation, the first time was an accident and the second time he sicked his dog on me. I have a scar on the top, and the palm of my hand. My dog got in a fight with his in defence of me and my son!!! Not only was I put in danger but so was my son!!! Animal control said they can't do anything about it because the dog is there for medical reasons. I had to get rid of my dog and he kept his. That just doesn't seem fair right? This is not the only time his dog attacked a dog and the other person had to get rid of their dog. It attacked a 8 month old PUPPY and I witnessed it. He walks around the complex thinking he owns the place. He will turn you in for anything and I mean ANYTHING! If he could he would turn you in for breathing. Him and his wife have nothing to do so they harass everyone!!!! OH AND HIS DOG IS A GERMAN SHEPHERD, IT'S SKINNY AND MAINGY LOOKING. i love this place i grew up here since i came out of the hospital!! this is the first place i went to and i have lived here for the 13 years of my life!! i moved and i wish i never moved i wanna go back home! this is my home the last apt.that i lived in was apt.163 it was great i as so sad i love this place and the ppll there i have a billian of friends that lived there to we all grew up together :) <3
